Questions worth asking first.

What is Niceshot?

A PC optimisation business with two sides. Niceshot Optimisation is a Windows application you run yourself. Custom PC optimisation is work Niceshot does on your machine by hand.

Which one should I choose?

The software suits a machine you own and are happy to run yourself, and it can put its own changes back. The custom service suits a machine you want tuned in person, including firmware and hardware settings that an application does not touch.

What does Niceshot change?

Windows settings and services, your network adapter, your graphics driver, how devices deliver their interrupts, and the bundled Windows apps you did not ask for. It also reports what the machine is and what anti-cheat systems will make of it.

Does the software need administrator access?

Yes. It changes protected Windows settings, so it asks for elevation and you see a UAC prompt each time it starts.

Can I undo what it changes?

Yes, for the changes it makes in the session you are in. Niceshot captures the original setting before it writes, so the latest change or every change from that session can be put back.

How much does it cost?

The three licence terms are listed above. There is no published build yet, so nothing can be bought and no download is available.
